Rooms Only Update - Credit Card Validity
When a rooms only reservation gets done via the phone or via UniversalOrlando.com, it gets booked in a system called Windsurfer. Windsurfer has gone through several upgrade modifications to make it PCI compliant. With that said, the system now required that the validity date of a credit card used for payment must be valid beyond the travel dates being booked. So if you book something for 2022 but the credit card expires 12/21 then the credit card won't be accepted by the system.
 
The best recommendation (to save time) is to ask the client if an alternate credit is available so you can use it online or by calling in.
 
If an alternate credit card is not available then you can still move forward by calling in the reservation and advising the Res Agent that NO ALTERNATE CREDIT CARD IS AVAILABLE and if needed ask to speak to a support desk agent so they can assist in getting the credit card entered into the booking.
