Phase 1: Sold Out
 
Phase 1: Sold Out
The USH teams always manage attendance to provide a safe and enjoyable guest experience. This information covers all of the products that provide Guests access once the park has reached capacity/sold out for the day and the procedures still allowed to be provided.
 
Ticket Booths Assistance Availability
 
Ticket Booths will be able to assist during Sold Out Days with the below products:
  • Annual Pass Renewals: Assist with AP Renewals within 30 days before the Pass expires and 60 days after.
  • Universal Express: Upgrade Universal Express Admission Products (subject to availability) and upgrade Pass Members to the next available Pass which will allow entry to the park if it’s a Black-Out day.
  •  
The Ticket Booths cannot assist during Sold Out Days with the below products:
 
  • Selling any admission to enter the Park: 1-Day Tickets, Annual Passes, Universal Express or Black-out Day Admission for Pass Holders
  • Register Third-Party Annual Passes
     
Product Allowance During Sell Outs
 
Products that allow access during Sell Outs:
  • Dated Tickets for the Sell Out dates.
  • 2-Day Tickets utilizing their 2nd day will be allowed as long as they are within their validity window.
  • Existing Active Annual Passes that have already used their first visit and are active with a valid expiration date, so long as the date is not blocked out.
  • Renewed Annual Passes are allowed due to the dates not needed to be selected when sold.
  • 3rd Party/Anytime Ticket Holders are allowed due to these not being dated or do not requiring registration. 
  • Examples – Military Tickets or Anytime Recovery Tickets. 
  • Newly Purchased Annual Passes planning to attend a sold out date on or after their selected start date.
  • Examples – First visit date selected was April 1st but did not go and wants to go on April 2nd which is a sold out date.

Products that do not allow access during Sell Outs:
 
  • Existing Active Annual Passes attempting to visit on a Black-Out date: These guests will not be able to take advantage of the Blackout Ticket upgrade, as these are not sold during Sell Out Days.
  • 3rd Party Tickets requiring registration: These are tickets such as Groupon, Costco Annual Passes, Military Annual Passes.
  • Newly Purchased Annual Passes that have not been used trying to enter prior to their first selected visit date.

  • Pre-purchased Admission Tickets, Annual Passes, and reserved VIP Guests allowed entry

  • ​Hotel and CityWalk Partners Notified

Phase 3:  At Capacity
 
  • ​Ticket Booths closed
  • ​Guest Services open
  • Guests with a re-entry handstamp, pre-purchased Date-Specific Tickets and reserved VIP Guests allowed entry
 
Remains Activated
 
  • ​Park at Capacity Message on Marquee, CMS Road Signs & Tolls
Phase 4:  Full Parking
 
  • Hilltop at capacity. No additional vehicle entries are permitted.
 
Emergency Closure
  • Hilltop Closure - Emergency closure of the theme park and CityWalk.
  • No vehicles permitted
