How is itinerary determined?
The tour guide plans out an itinerary to cover our most popular attractions, based on the show schedule that is issued daily. If there’s a particular ride or show that guests are very interested in, they should tell their tour guide. Guides will do their best to build it into their schedule.
The itinerary of each vip experience tour is determined just before the tours depart. This is all based on production activity in the movie studio. Unfortunately, there is no way to know in advance which tours will be visiting the movie studio first. Guests might begin the day by visiting the theme park, then have lunch, and then tour the movie studio later in the afternoon.
The tour guide will take guests to the express line of as many rides and shows as possible within the time period of the tour. We try our best to show guests our most popular attractions. Once the tour is completed, guests are welcome to stay in the park until it closes. Guests will have their unlimited express access all day long.
Can I leave the group?
Part of what guests are purchasing is the benefit of being with a tour guide who is planning out their day for them, so guests won’t need to worry about how to make the most of their time. If guests would like to leave the group when they are in the theme park, they certainly can. Guests can use their vip lanyard to gain unlimited front of line access to our attractions.
What if I only want to tour the movie studio?
The vip experience includes both the movie studio and the theme park. Arranging a vip tour of only the movie studio would be considered a customized day. If guests would like a private vip experience, where they are buying out all of the seats on the tour for just their party, we can customize the day for them and focus only on the movie studio.
What filming, sets or celebrities will we be seeing?
The sets visited are all based on production activity in the movie studio, which can change from minute to minute. However, guests will be visiting some very recognizable sets that have been used in hundreds of movies and tv shows.
We are a real working movie studio and cannot guarantee that any specific location will be available to our vip tours. This availability can change throughout the day due to filming or preparing for an upcoming shoot. If there’s a particular area of our lot that guest are very interested in visiting, they should tell their tour guide! If that location is open to our tours, they will do their best to include it.
We do not visit active filming locations as part of the vip experience. We want to provide the best possible working environment for our actors and directors, and we need to allow them to do their work. However, there’s always something exciting to see on our lot! Guests may see some filming activity from a distance during their vip tour.
Our vip experience gives guests the best chance of seeing a celebrity because they’re going to have exclusive access to our back lot. Only our vips get to explore sets that are closed to the general public, and they never know who they might see!
Is there a lot of walking?
Guests will be on a vehicle during the tour of the movie studio, but they will be departing that vehicle many times to explore areas of the movie studio that we can only visit on foot. In the theme park, they will be walking from attraction to attraction.
Can I take pictures?
Absolutely! There is just a very small portion of the tour where no pictures or recording is allowed. The tour guide will let guests know when they are in that particular area, usually for just a few minutes. All pictures and video must be for guest's own personal use.
What is the difference between the VIP Experience and Private VIP Experience?
For the vip experience, guests will be part of a group of approximately 16 to 27 guests. Children must be at least 5 years old to take part in the tour.
For the private vip experience, the group will have a personal tour guide for the entire day. It is the group's day and we are able to customize an itinerary based on their interests alone. Guests are purchasing all of the seats on the tour to make it private for just their party. There is no minimum age restriction for the private vip experience (children under 5 years of age may attend).
Can the tour guide wait with my child while I ride?
For safety and liability reasons, the tour guide is not permitted to wait with a guest's child while they experience the attraction. An adult member of the guest's party will need to wait with the child. If that adult still wishes to ride, he or she can do so after the tour has been completed. We visit the attractions one time as part of the vip experience.
What happens if it rains?
We offer the vip experience rain or shine. We will provide you with ponchos and do our best to keep you dry. The majority of our attractions are indoors, but you will be outside walking from attraction to attraction. You should bring an umbrella and wear appropriate clothing for the weather
