When VAX responds with your search results, it will display the information in an expanded mode. It's recommend that the "Hotels" button be collapsed so you can see all 5 sections. Once your more familiar with VAX you can view the screens in the manner that feels best for you. Each section expands / collapses by simply clicking over the orange icon with your mouse.
Search Section
Within this section you can manipulate your search options for your customer. Change package type, date, or specify a specific hotel.
In this section, you will be able to change the room category and review all the components VAX has automatically pulled. You are customizing each reservation to meet the needs of your guest and VAX has simply given you a starting point..
A starting price is listed for all the components listed within the Itinerary Summary. As you re-build the package for your guest it will alter the price being quoted.
If the guest wishes to rent a car, you can select the vehicle in this area. Should you wish to reserve a car for pickup at an onsite hotel you will need to select Avis since it's the car rental that has a counter at each Universal Onsite Hotel. In addition, you need to reserve the car on a 24 hours period in order for VAX to work. The client can still return the car earlier but this will allow you to complete the transaction. Enter the correct Pick-Up time and have the Drop-Off be 24 hours later.
In the features section, you can add/delete/change the ticket and other ancillary products such as Halloween Horror Night tickets. VAX will warn you when you attempt to remove a ticket in order to replace it with another. The warning is a reminder that a "Package" booking requires a hotel and park tickets for it to be considered a package.
All areas that are in light blue or that change your mouse as you hover over them are hyperlinks that will open up dialogue box with information regarding the topic being viewed.
When you select "Create Sales Email", you can select add-on components and VAX will create an email based on the add-on selected which you can email to your customer. It will not email the details of the entire package price VAX is sharing with you, but only the add-on components you have selected while in a "Create Sales Email" mode.
You can review the commissions you will be paid in this area. VAX also allows the option to add additional transaction fees into the total package price.
As you search various options, VAX will hold onto the search results and display them in this area. Should you wish to save the information you can do so by selecting save and giving it a unique name (up to 120 characters). The saved itinerary will be kept in VAX for 14 days and then will drop out of the system. This "Save" search function does NOT book the itinerary, but simply holds the information that was researched for the customer. You can delete a saved itinerary within the 14 day period if desired.
When you retrieve the saved search and if component pricing / availability has changed then VAX will advise you.
