Wire Transfers

Eligibility: This applies to new reservations and modifications.
·     Domestic - guest must be 60 days or more away from travel
·     International - guest must be 80 days or more away from travel
·     If the guest is less than 60 days away for domestic or 80 days away for international and are making a modification, they must pay for any additional charges to the reservation with a credit card.
 
​If this will be a new payment by wire transfer due to an additional charge for a modification, you will follow this same process.
 
Process for New Reservations and Eligible Modification Charges
o     The comp hold will be extended
o     They will receive an email with 24 hours with a Wire Transfer Form and instructions attached
o     Allow 7-10 business days for funds to be received and applied to the reservation from the date the funds are sent. 
o     Any refund, especially international, will take more than the ususal 2-3 weeks
o     Refunds will be sent to the guest via check.          
 
Q&A
 
· If using wire transfers as a form of payment, can I split the payment between wire transfers and another form of payment?
o Yes, you can pay for the reservation using different forms of payment.
o If the amount being paid via the wire transfer is different than your total package price, you must notify Universal.
 
· What information do I need to send payment via wire transfer?
o Travel agents inquiring about paying via wire transfer should contact the Guest Contact Center at 1 (800) 224-3838 Monday through Friday 7:30am to 12:00am EST, Saturday and Sunday 7:30am to 10:00pm EST.
o Guest Contact Center representatives will confirm the booking is eligible and provide travel agents with an incoming wire/ACH transfer instructions document.
 
· Do I need to provide any additional information after the wire transfer has been sent?
o Please reply via email when you have submitted the request to your bank so Universal can alert our Finance Team of the incoming transfer.
 
· How long does it take for wire transfer payments to be applied to my reservation?
o Once the wire transfer is sent, generally it takes between 7-10 business days for the funds to be applied to your reservation.
Any issues or misinformation could cause a delay in this process.
 
· How are refunds handled?
o Wire transfers will be refunded by a check and could take between 6-10 weeks.
o The refund time may be longer for international refunds.
