|
The aesthetics of “Jurassic World—The Ride” have been dramatically enhanced welcoming guests to a reimagined space reflective of the JURASSIC WORLD films. In addition, there is a fresh new entry statement, stonework landscaping and a contemporary redesign of the iconic JURASSIC WORLD gates, illuminated with billowing flames.
Engaging and interactive queue-line videos featuring facts and information about the dinosaurs within the ride will set the tone for the expedition ahead, as guests learn more about these imposing prehistoric creatures that first roamed the earth more than 65 million years ago.
Once aboard specially designed rafts, guests will navigate the lush environs of dense vegetation, traversing new areas besieged with towering dinosaurs meandering at just an arm’s length away from visitors. Encounters with such docile creatures as the Stegosaurus and Parasaurolophus will quickly turn awry as predatory Velociraptors and Dilophosaurus begin to wreak havoc, turning guests from spectators to prey. When the Tyrannosaurus rex begins to battle one of the attraction’s new ferocious dinosaurs, the rafts will spill down a treacherous 84-foot waterfall as the sole means of escape.

The interactive DinoPlay for Kids area has new activities for our younger guests. Excavate giant dinosaur fossils at a discovery dig site, explore a full-size T. rex skull and dinosaur eggs, play on the jungle climber, a rope plank bridge and more.
Isla Nu-bar
Enjoy a selection of tropical inspired refreshments at the Isla Nu-bar with a tiki cocktail beneath the shady thatched roof.
Jurassic Cafe
Whether guests have the appetite of a T. rex or just want to nibble, Jurassic Café is the perfect spot for a tasty bite of Costa Rican inspired cuisine.

Physical Restrictions: This ride employs safety restraints which may restrict certain guests from riding due to body shape and size. Guests whose waist line is at least 40” or greater may not be accommodated on the ride and are strongly encouraged to try the test seat provided at the entrance of the attraction to ensure their ability to ride. Raptor Encounter - Lower Lot

Guests will have the chance to meet our newest raptor, Blue from Jurassic World, at the Raptor Encounter in Universal Studios Hollywood. At the Raptor Encounter, the guest experience begins at an electrified enclosure where Blue is currently contained. There they will have the opportunity to learn some interesting facts about the clever carnivore as well as her natural habitat and can even approach her for a unique photo-op. Blue will be interchanging encounters with the current Raptor.
Blue made her appearance in the first Jurassic World movie as an experiment that infused with different species and is recognized for her heroic acts to save Owen and Claire from an Indominus rex. This earned her a rarified spot in the dinosaur speciation: an empathic animal with deep feelings and an intelligence that defies any genetic coding her makers could have imagined.
