Terror Tram is back and this time the bugs are taking over. Tour Guide Larry Larva and his bug-headed exterminators will get rid of humans with the help of his new pesticide. Guests will be swarmed by many-legged horrors who will worm their way into their fears. They’ll end with a walk-through of Jupiter’s Claim from Jordan Peele’s film NOPE.

Ghostz
As soon as Guests enter the event, a horde of blood-soaked, chainsaw-wielding ghostz will descend upon them with twisted smiles on their bone-white faces. These spectral horrors will haunt them.

TOYZ
A maniacal toymaker is using dark magic to bring evil toyz to life, including a porcelain doll, teddy bear, nutcracker and ballerina. Now these devilish toyz are out of the toybox and after Guests!

Upgrade Location

The tour is approximately 5 - 5.5 hours long, including dinner.

Early Entry and Day Guest Wristbands
|
If guests have event admission the same night as their daytime theme park admission or if they have purchased a Day/Night Combo or HHN Early Access Ticket + Admission, they don’t have to exit and reenter.
Instead, when they get to the front gate turnstiles, they just present their event ticket to the attendant, and they’ll be given a wristband. The wristband will allow them to stay inside the park for Halloween Horror Nights. They may be asked to show a photo ID.
Available Wristbands
There are 2 types of wristbands given out each night:
1. Day/Night Combo AND HHN Early Access Ticket + Admission Ticket holders: These will give Guests access to any houses open during the Early Access time, starting at 5:30pm.

The Initiation: Utilizing the filter technologies of Facebook, Snapchat, and Instagram, fans can engage with a filter and see larvae that come crawling out of their face in honor of The Terror Tram, where bugs are taking over!

If Universal determines that any of the following guidelines, rules and restrictions are being violated, Guests may be asked to either remove the costume and change into something that is compliant with these guidelines, rules and restrictions, or they may be prevented from entering Universal CityWalk or Universal Studios Hollywood and/or asked to leave Universal’s property. Guests may be asked to remove part of their attire or accessories before participating in certain rides, shows and/or attractions. Please be aware that Guests may not be admitted to some rides, shows and/or attractions depending on their costumes.
For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, the below Costume Guidelines, Rules and Restrictions must be followed while on Universal’s property:

Guests must be fully clothed, including shoes and shirts.

Guests may not wear clothing or accessories (e.g., uniforms, costumes or props) that may create a false impression that guests work for Universal or as emergency personnel, including, without limitation clothing or items identified with law enforcement, security, firefighters, emergency responders or the military.

Except as required by Universal or for religious or medical reasons, Guests may not wear any covering that fully or partially obscures a person’s face, including costume masks, facial coverings, and face applications. Face painting is permitted only if it covers no more than one-half of the face (applied vertically only) or is applied in a pre-approved design by professional artists at Universal. Guests may be requested to modify their make-up or remove any type of facial covering to meet the above standards.

No prosthetic makeup (including makeup that conceals part of the face, like the eyes, nose, or mouth) is permitted.

Clothing that Universal determines is indecent, exposes excessive portions of the skin, or that Universal views as inappropriate for a family environment (including, without limitation, gory or gruesome clothing or accessories) is prohibited.

Service animals may not wear or be part of a costume.

No weapons of any kind are permitted. Any item that resembles a weapon or is manufactured in the shape of a weapon is not permitted. Any items that could be used as a weapon are not permitted, including, but not limited to firearms, explosives, fireworks, chemical dispensing devices, clubs, sticks, knives, swords, or other object(s) that may be used in any way to inflict bodily injury on another person.

No special or atmospheric effects, including, without limitation, balloons, smoke, fog, powered effects, and sound effects, are permitted.

No veils, long trains, stilts, or oversized costumes that could pose a safety hazard to guests or team members are permitted.

Costumes may not interfere with security screening. Costumes cannot exceed 25 inches wide x 80 inches high to meet Universal’s metal detection regulations. Costumes are subject to secondary x-ray screenings.

Universal reserves the right to preclude any costumes that may cause confusion that the guest is part of the Halloween Horror Nights experience. Impersonating a theme park entertainment or character or performing, frightening, or otherwise disrupting other guests or event operations is prohibited and may result in expulsion from Universal’s property.

Helpful Tips
1. Guests Should Arrive Early to Beat the Rush:
Recommend guests come in September, since October is the most popular month for the event. Whenever they go, they should plan to get to the park at least an hour before the event starts so there’s less traffic driving over and less of a wait to park and pass through security.
2. Guests Should Stay the Day and Be One of the First in at Night:
If guests have event admission the same night as their daytime theme park admission or if they have purchased a Day/Night Combo or HHN Early Access Ticket + Admission, they don’t have to exit and reenter. Instead, when they get to the front gate turnstiles, they just present their event ticket to the attendant, and they’ll be given a wristband. The wristband will allow them to stay inside the park for Halloween Horror Nights. They may be asked to show a photo ID.

3. Recommend Guests Start in the Back:
Don’t let our guests make the first-timer mistake of going to the first haunted house they see. They should head to the back of the park first for a better chance at seeing more haunted houses.
Guest FAQs
Will ticket be able to be used for Re-Entry?
Valid Tickets will be able to be used for Re-Entry during the same day as long as they are valid. Guests must simply be prepared to show their hand stamp and ticket at the front gate to be allowed back in.
How can I get early-event access to Halloween Horror Nights?
There are two options for early event access to Halloween Horror nights:
1. A limited number of Halloween Horror Nights Early Event Access tickets are available as an add-on to your event admission ticket. Simply add it to the shopping cart.
2. The After 2PM Day/Night ticket will also have early event access to Halloween Horror Nights.
What time does early-event access to Halloween Horror Nights begin?
Early event access to select houses starts at 5:30 pm (subject to change) with the Halloween Horror Nights Early Event Access ticket or the After 2PM Day/Night ticket.
Is my Halloween Horror Nights Early Event Access ticket my admission ticket?
A Halloween Horror Nights Early Event Access ticket will not grant guests admission to the event. A Halloween Horror Nights admission ticket must be purchased separately for the same date.
Will SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ be opened during Halloween Horror Nights?
Access to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ is only available with an After 2 pm Day/Night ticket from 7pm to 10pm (subject to change). Guests should pick up their After 2PM Day/Night wristband at the Front Gate entrance to access SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™.
Is there an age minimum for the event? If not, can those under the age of 13 experience the Haunted Houses?
There is no age minimum for the event. However, this event is recommended for mature audiences only and is not recommended for children under 13. They will be exposed to extremely adult material. While children are permitted into the event, strollers and child-carrying are prohibited throughout the houses for safety reasons.
Can I wear a costume or costume mask?
Costumes, costume masks, and/or face paint are not permitted at the event.
If it rains, will the event be canceled?
Event occurs rain or shine. Sorry, no refunds will be available for this event.

Does my daytime Park admission allow me to stay for Halloween Horror Nights?
A daytime ticket is only valid for daytime admission unless an After 2PM Day/Night ticket or an After 2PM Day/Night Universal Express ticket that includes same-day evening admission to the Halloween Horror Nights event has been purchased.

Which attractions will I have Universal Express^ access to for the After 2PM Day/Night Universal Express Ticket?
Guests can enjoy one-time Universal Express access to all daytime attractions during the day, PLUS one-time (per day) Universal Express access to all nighttime attractions at Halloween Horror Nights. For attractions available both during the day and night, they will have Universal Express access to these attractions once during the day and once at night.

Will there be food available at the event?
Yes. Many of the theme park restaurants will be offering specialty food and drinks.
Is alcohol served at the event?
Alcohol will be served at select locations during certain hours, subject to availability. Outside drinks are not permitted at Universal Studios Hollywood during Halloween Horror Nights.

Are there any restrictions going through the haunted houses?

For Guests safety and convenience, Universal Studios Hollywood has a Los Angeles Sherriff’s Department Sub-Station on the premise at Universal CityWalk Center Court.
In the past Halloween Horror Nights referred to the experiences as “mazes.” Why are they now called “houses” and what’s the difference?
We are referring to the experiences as Houses for continuity across both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort since we share many of the same experiences; guests can expect the exact level of terrifying excitement they’ve always experienced during our Halloween Horror Nights event.
