Dietary Needs

Allergen Dietary Needs

Bringing outside food
Guests are able to bring any food that is required for medical purposes, medically-indicated nutritional supplements and food required for special dietary needs into the parks. This food does NOT need to be factory sealed to be allowed into the parks.

Dining at a Universal Orlando Resort Restaurant
We offer a number of dining locations throughout Universal Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios Florida, Universal Volcano Bay, Universal CityWalk and our on-site hotels where our chefs and culinary staff can accommodate dietary needs.

  • It should be noted, however, that Universal Orlando does not have separate food preparation facilities in which to prepare allergen-free foods. There is occasionally the chance that allergens may have been introduced to one or more ingredients before they reached the kitchens at Universal Orlando—and, on other rare occasions—even inadvertently as the food was being prepared.
  • While we can provide guests with information prior to their arrival, suppliers and ingredients can change without advance notice.

At arrival to venue:
  • Guests will need to notify the venue if there are special dietary requirements that they need to have addressed.
  • Guests can ask to speak to a chef or manager at any restaurant within Universal Orlando Resort, or at any of our Universal Orlando Resort hotels once they are here. Guests will need to let them know which guest in their party has a food allergy or intolerance, and what the allergy/intolerance is. Our culinary staff will make every effort to prevent that allergen from coming in contact with any part of that guest’s meal.

Questions?

If the Guest has venue-specific questions or questions that have not been answered here, they can e-mail food.allergy for dining locations within Universal Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios Florida, Universal Volcano Bay or Universal CityWalk. Guest should allow 72 hours for a response.
